From the General Manager's Desk: Let Us Do the Work for You

Since 1988, American PERMALIGHT® Inc. has been known as a leading manufacturer of photoluminescent safety products. Creating high-quality signs and markings has always been one of our major focuses, and over the years we have developed an extensive range of photoluminescent products for a variety of applications.

However, we are not just a product manufacturer; we have grown into being a service provider as well. I’m proud to introduce: American PERMALIGHT® Photoluminescent Egress Path Marking Takeoff Services.

Being up to date on code and standard requirements – even being actively involved in the standard-writing process – has been part of our commitment since the beginning. Providing you, our customers, with a thorough consultation and recommending the best-suited material for each unique application has been an integral part of our strengths. It involves highlighting why one material may be better suited than another in complex applications and showing you where to install signs and markings for code and standard compliance (provided via web-based or on-site installation training class).

The AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction – generally your local fire or building inspector) is responsible for enforcing requirements and approving projects. Our experts help facilitate this process for you and take the guesswork out of code requirements.

Avoid the headache of having to figure out questions like:

  • How many linear feet of handrail markings?
  • Can I just mark the left and right sides of the steps?
  • Do I need to mark every door frame in a staircase?
  • Is a wall-installed perimeter demarcation line better than a floor-mounted demarcation?
  • Does that pipe require an obstacle marking or not?

With UL1994-listed Photoluminescent Egress Path Markings now a requirement in high-rise building emergency staircases, you can count on American PERMALIGHT® to support you in determining which quantities of material to calculate for a code-compliant installation.

Reach out to us and let us do your material-needs takeoffs so you can free-up time from your busy schedule. Click here to learn more about our photoluminescent egress path marking takeoff services.
