Are you a Commercial General Contractor? There are many different types of contractors. To be on the same page, let’s clarify what we consider a General Contractor.
A General Contractor is a party with the responsibility to oversee a construction project and who enters into the prime contract with the property owner. The General Contractor is always going to be a direct contractor that acts as a liaison between clients and contracted workers during the entire phase of the building project.
A Commercial General Contractor is an individual or organization (large, medium, or small) that manages the completion of a commercial construction project. General Contractors work with their clients throughout every phase of the construction project and are responsible for hiring subcontractors, obtaining permits, speaking to inspectors, acquiring materials, etc.
Now that we have clarified our definition of a Commercial General Contractor, we would like to share some exciting news:
Since 1988, American PERMALIGHT® has been actively involved in improving the life safety industry in many ways. A few include:
- Creating and furthering building code & standard requirements
- Manufacturing and supplying quality products
- Providing exceptional customer service
- And MORE!
Educating, training, and utilizing a consultative process with our customers has always been an important part of the way American PERMALIGHT® operates. Flash forward to today, we have transformed our process into Professional Offerings and Services that provide you with tremendous value and a competitive advantage over the other professionals in this space.
First and foremost, we are life safety experts and have a desire to help.
In early 2019, we began asking General Contractors important questions about how their business operates. While collecting feedback from General Contractors, we realized a few common problems among professionals in the industry. And then Covid-19 happened. This completely changed the way the world operates, which allowed our team to have even more conversations with General Contractors over the past year. In this outreach to General Contractors across the country, we asked questions, listened to their pain points, discussed these pain points with our internal team, and created a unique program that provides solutions to their specific challenges.
The PERMALIGHT® Certified General Contractor Program is a value-packed service that provides a unique opportunity for General Contractors to become a PERMALIGHT® Certified General Contractor Partner.
What does this mean? Simply put, American PERMALIGHT® is more than a leading manufacturer of durable life safety products that also provides outstanding customer service.
